Health Services

Getting sick when you're away at college doesn't have to be a frightening experience for you or a big worry for your parents. The Cohen Student Health Center is located on college property on Briggs Avenue next door to the Bookstore. It is staffed by college physicians Dr. Kruszewski, Dr. Reusche and registered nurses. The Student Health Center provides primary care for ordinary illnesses and emergencies. Available services include; primary care, blood pressure screening, diet counseling, flu vaccinations(in season), TB testing for student placements, skin care counseling, and HIV testing and counseling. Health education pamphlets and referrals are also provided.

To better serve students and use time wisely, students are seen by appointment Monday-Friday, 9am--4pm. Appointments can be made by calling x2431. The services of the Health Center are free of charge and available to all registered students who have completed health forms on file in the Health Center office.

The mission of the Cohen Student Health Center is to enhance the academic success of our students by providing high quality, accessible health care in a non-judgmental atmosphere that values diversity and respects individuality.

Our purpose is directed toward each student encounter, as an opportunity to empower students to make informed decisions about health related concerns, prevention and risk reduction to promote life-long choices.
