Merciad - FAQ's

Can I submit a letter to the editor?

The Merciad welcomes letters to the editor. All letters must be signed and names will be included with the letters. Although we will not edit the letters for content, we reserve the right to trim letters to fit. Letters are due the Thursday before publication and may not be longer than 300 words. Submit letters to box 485 or opinionmerciad@mercyhurst.edu.

How do I place an ad?

The Merciad is a weekly newspaper released on Thursdays beginning in September and running through May with the exception of midterm and finals weeks and breaks. The deadline for all advertising is Wednesday at 4 p.m. prior to publication date, (8 days in advance). If possible please include 3 hard copies of each individual ad, and a billing address.

When is the Merciad published?

The Merciad is released on Thursdays beginning in September and running through May. There will be no issues published during the Christmas break from December 23rd through January 6th. The first publication of the new year will be January 16th.
