About the Multicultural Center
The Multicultural Center is a comprehensive office that assists with the educational, cultural, social and personal needs of all students, with special emphasis on ethnic, gender, and minority issues. The primary focus of the office is to develop leaders and scholars. Other areas of focus are to create campus-wide awareness in regard to socio-economic issues and to bridge the gap between students and faculty.
Initiatives through the Multicultural Center encourage student exposure to the cultural richness found in color, gender, national origin, creed, lifestyle and sexual orientation. The center advocates educational growth through scholarship, leadership and service and strives to impact retention while offering personal enhancement programs instituted for students to reach the overarching goal of academic success and professional development.
The MCC offers a wide variety of services to students, including counseling, personal support, advising, advocacy.
