Student Research Committee

The Student Research Committee recommends policy for and oversees distribution of the Student Research Fund (to be created), is responsible for placement of student research assistants and coordination of work-study policies and placements with the work study office. The Student Research Committee in conjunction with the Faculty Research Committee, promotes and coordinates the annual Mercyhurst Research Symposium, where student and faculty research is presented.

The Student Research Committee works closely with the Faculty Research Committee to support and promote research on campus and has the authority to study and recommend policy with regard to student research. In May (or September 0if summer research) of each year, the Student Research Committee collects and furnishes to the Office of Academic Affairs and the Faculty Research Committee a written report from each student on progress made with respect to proposed project outcomes.

• Four (4) Faculty (one of whom is also a member of the Faculty Research Committee) - Terry Pettijohn, Joe Morris, Larry Gauriloff, and Tim Frawley
• Three (3) undergraduate students
• One (1) graduate student
• Vice-President for Academic Affairs or his/her designee (ex officio) - Missy Breckenridge
