Office of the Student Union & Student Activities Mission

Our philosophy of student involvement is one that supports the College's mission through a comprehensive offering of co-curricular leadership, cultural and experiential opportunities that promote the intellectual, personal, and ethical development and success of our students. We strive to create an inclusive and engaged campus community in which students are respected, and encouraged to pursue excellence and achieve their potential. Our primary purpose is to serve as student advocates while providing opportunities for students to develop as individuals and leaders.

The Sr. Carolyn Herrmann Student Union

The Office of the Student Union & Student Activities is conveniently located on the ground level floor of the Student Union. It serves as a central location for students to get involved with campus activities and events and meet new people. The Student Union is an environment that is welcoming and one in which students can fully interact and participate in a range of academic, social, spiritual, cultural and recreational activities. The Student Union is a wireless building which houses a print station for student use. Students are often curled up on a couch in the Great Room completing homework or chatting with friends. There are also free pool tables sponsored by Mercyhurst Student Government as well as an array of board games for students to enjoy. The Student Union is an ideal meeting and event space for Recognized Student Clubs/Organizations (RSCOs), offices and departments. Stop in and stay a while!
