Setting / Changing Your Sophos Update Password

Your personal Sophos virus software supplied by Mercyhurst requires:

• Your Mercyhurst username and E-Mail/Network password to update its virus definitions

 

If you change your E-Mail/Network password, Sophos will no longer update
Your computer will be at risk of becoming infected with a virus

In order for Sophos to update:

You must keep your Sophos Update password the same as your Mercyhurst E-Mail password

	Right-Click the Sophos icon on the ToolBar
	Select Configure updating... option from the menu
In Properties for Sophos AutoUpdate window: Verify Address text box entry: http://introspect.mercyhurst.edu/WIN2000-XP Verify User name text box entry" In the format: mercyhurst\yourMercyhurstusername Note the '\'  Do Not Use '/' In the Password text box enter: Current Mercyhurst E-Mail password In Confirmation password text box enter: Current Mercyhurst E-Mail password
Select Apply button Select OK button
Double-click the Sophos icon to immediately update your Sophos software!
