WebMail (Outlook Web Access) Help

IMPORTANT

• Always log out when you are finished using WebMail
• If you 'x' the window, your account will lock for twenty minutes

WebMail

• Mercyhurst College provides E-Mail accounts for all members of the campus
• Mercyhurst users access and send e-mail through their Mercyhurst accounts using Webmail
• Accessable from personal E-Mail client or through Mercyhurst Webmail using Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher

• Access to e-mail account is controlled through a login with UserName and Password
• Your e-mail address is UserName@mercyhurst.edu
• Users directly manage their Mercyhurst email configuration

  Access WebMail:

  • lakernet.mercyhurst.edu - Select Webmail from the Quick Links drop-down box
  • www.mercyhurst.edu- Select WebMail from the ShortCuts... text box
  • http://webmail.mercyhurst.edu - Input the WebMail address in your Internet browser address bar
• Mercyhurst offices use only Mercyhurst email addresses to communicate with current members of the campus
• Your Mercyhurst e-mail account is your source of information of concern to campus community
• Student email space limit is 125 MB. Warning messages are sent when 70% of the space is used. The quota applies to all folders including SENT and DELETED messages. **Email will bounce back to the sender if the 125 MB limit is reached.**
• Maximum size of a single message including attachments is 10 MB.
